Spotting

Description:

Hopper measuring about 8mm in length. Cryptic colouration in shades of brown and grey.

Habitat:

Found on a Eucalyptus trunk in semi arid area with mostly low scrub and acacias. Would run around on the tree, but not fly off.

I think cixiid planthopper is correct. I came across the genus Oecleus, with some pictures looking like they might be a match for genus... Thanks, bayucca!

Should be a Cixiidae, at least it looks for me like a Cixiid Planthopper. Not Bothriocerinae, might be Cixiinae, but not really sure. We need an expert for this one...
