Ringless honey fungus

Armillaria tabescens

Description:

A clump of mushrooms with greenish brown caps that were darker at the centre gradually fading towards the margins. Gills were close, white with tinges of brown. The creamy white stipe had no ring. Spore print white (pic 4)

Habitat:

Spotted on damp forest floor beside trees - mixed native and exotic trees.
