White Stork

Ciconia ciconia

Description:

wiki: (...)Its plumage is mainly white, with black on its wings. Adults have long red legs and a long pointed red beak. Its two subspecies, which differ slightly in size(..)

Habitat:

Breed in the warmer parts of Europe (north to Estonia), northwestern Africa, southwestern Asia (east to southern Kazakhstan), and southern Africa. It is a long-distance migrant, wintering in Africa from tropical Sub-Saharan Africa to as far south as South Africa, or on the Indian subcontinent.

Notes:

Sunday afternoon: a huge tree holding nine white storks nests is shaken by the nesting activities and other preparations for the new generation to come that year. Caught this wonderful animal bringing a few sticks in its beak, while approaching the nest.
