A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Ctenosaura similis
Native to Central America, invasive in Florida. sandy areas beaches, parks, suburbs.
I spotted one adult that has a burrow under the Nature Center building by the back walkway. However it would dart back into its hole at the slightest move. There were a few juveniles running around though. This one was climbing a palm tree on the trail that leads to the beach.
