Southern Toad

Description:

Highly pronounced knobs and crest on its head. Two crests run forward from the knob and com close to one another near the snout. Brown black or red. 1.75 to 4.5 inches.

Habitat:

Sandy areas, marshes, mixed hardwood swamps. Active at night, hides during day in self made burrows.

Notes:

Native. Although it may be the invasive marine toad, but i doubt it. Found it as i was looking for a geocache at nova during the night. Terrible picture maybe ill snap some more once im back in the area
