Spotting

Description:

Greenish with black spikes/spines, emerging from orange spots on the skin. Found in a small patch of grass near lake. Very slow-moving when I handled it. Got it to go on a plant to avoid direct contact because it looked like it had big spikes which I was unsure if they were poisonous

Habitat:

Grass near bedrock out crop right next to lake, forest surrounding the area.

Notes:

Found at Teatown Lake Reservation, in Westchester County, NY Tried to ID. Looked into: Buck Moth Fritillary Spiny caterpillar -and a few others. Help me ID it! Thanks -Bryan
