No, he was pretty grumpy. He stood up from a lying position because we stopped to take this photo. We didn't stick around. They also not known to mock charge so you don't get any warning. The Cape Buffalo is one of the Big Five. The phrase Big Five game was coined by hunters and refers to the five most difficult animals in Africa to hunt on foot. They are often considered the most dangerous of the Big Five, reportedly causing the most hunter deaths, with wounded animals reported to ambush and attack pursuers.

Was he friendly? There are two kinds of Water Buffalo, one easily domesticated and one that is quite wild.
