Red Tailed Hawk

Notes:

I was driving to work today and was lucky enough to get a good photo op. I'm pretty sure it's a red tail hawk but would love to know for sure.

Yep - Red tail hawk. Osprey has flatter head , white on head, and doesnt have a red tail! Anyway - I have decided that I want to drive your route to work! All I ever see is cars and an occasional misplaced deer.

It's definitely a Red-tailed Hawk, the red tail and "belly band" are diagnostic. Great shot by the way!

Osprey's have a white head with a brown band across the eyes. I would have to say Red-tailed hawk.
