Description:

Taken at Darwin Bay on Genovesa Island. The birds were choosing mates at this time; males build nests, then inflate their red throat pouch to get the females attention as they are flying overhead. Females have white patches on their throats.

Habitat:

White sandy beach with mangrove trees and other coastal plants
