The white rhino is the largest rhino species and the largest land mammal after the elephant.
White rhinos can grow to weigh more than 5,000 pounds, which is almost as much as a Land Rover rolling along on the Serengeti

Dan, One of the most amazing series about Rhino's I have ever seen. Awesome! Glad you finally got thru all your older photos. I know you have been real busy. The photos are just so clear and crisp it is like I am personally there.

Another great great spot you could add to the Rhino mission when you have a moment. This is one of my favorites!

Thanks Smith and patty! Hi patty, I had a great experience in the park, quite a few animals, some that are difficult to spot in other places, like the white rhino. I've added 2 more photos of rhinos on the shore. The last 2 pics are a different rhino, the first we spotted in the park. Glad you liked my story in the blog. I will be adding another story shortly and keep them coming.

Wow! Absolutely beautiful spotting Dandoucette! The rhino is monumental - as Smith´s zoo suggested (that was a good adjective choice by the way) - and the flamingoes and pelicans behind, together with the montainous background make this a wonderful picture (and a place to be too!). I imagined you had a wonderful experience in that place =); maybe you can upload another story into the blog.
Greetings and thank you for sharing Dandoucette =)
