guar are very difficult to see in many southeast Asian countries, however in India I saw them at a few national parks with some regularity. this one was at Wayanad Wildlife sanctuary.

no you can't use this animal for Agriculture this animal listed in CITES Appendix I, and is legally protected in all range states. so is somebody violet this it will serious problem so farmers don't take that risk

Now way man...they are as deadly as Tigers and Bears. We take information if they are around during our trek in their habitat. Only Yaks are made pets in Himalayan regions.
Thanks p.young. As far as I know these are not used as working animals. I only saw them in the wild. Perhaps Ashish can shed some more light on this if I am wrong.
