Acanthosicyos naudinianus
This fruit is oval-shaped with spikes and is yellowish green when mature
Arid regions
Despite its bitterness, it is much favoured by gemsbok and mole-rats and is also eaten by jackals and honey badgers. Squirrels, porcupines, crickets and and an array of rodents and insects use the water that gathers in the old shells after rains.

I imagine it would be light after being dried Alice. They are about the size of a small melon.
Do you know if the shell is very light when it is dried? I have something I bought for ornamentation in Europe and have never known what it is. Perhaps I should put a picture of it on Noah.
