Gray's Treefrog

Hyla versicolor

Description:

Bright green to mottled gray, they vary with the humidity and temperature of their environment. Note the dark band from nose to the shoulder, and under the abdomen. Suction cup feet.

Habitat:

Spotted resting on some plants in wet ditchline with cat tails and other plants. Area is a gated man-made lake community, surrounded by rural agricultural land, and some deciduous forest areas. In areas that are not mowed, the land is old fields within the community, and are mowed biannually. I had to post this second spotting of the same species. It was just too precious, and varied in size and coloration from this week's previous spotting from me. If not allowed, please remove. :)
