Yes it is the pixels from the camera sucked when I zoomed in that's why you can't see the two black bands around it
The bird in the photo doesn't look much like a Killdeer. Almost more like a Thrasher of some sort.
I can't see the distinctive two black bands around the neck. Are you sure this is a killdeer?
