Eastern grey squirrel

Sciurus carolinensis

Description:

Dumbarton Oaks Park, Georgetown, is not surprisingly squirrel paradise. This guy was busy hiding nuts away for the winter. Not photo shy!

Habitat:

City parkland.

Notes:

The same park had quite a few of the melanistic variant of the grey squirrel. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_squir...

I love them too Marketa! I actually have a folder with 250 squirrel pictures; Noah administrators will be horrified... ;-)
