Description:

I believe this is a firefly larva. I spotted it because its rear end was glowing. It had a pinkish strip near the belly, much like the adult fireflies I have seen around here, as well as the same head as them.

Habitat:

Large barrel full of mulch and leaf litter in a suburban yard next to a swamp
