Dyspteris tenuivitta
A nocturnal moth as in the photo. Very different to any other moth I have ever seen, which MAY help with ID.
At around 2330 m in a remote area but drawn to the lights at a lodge. That is above the altitude suggested in the link given by Daniele, but Adrian does not pretend that such details are accurate given the sparsity of sightings.
Only one was seen whereas many other moths were seen in numbers.
Thanks Daniele.
I am delighted to have that ID. I was disappointed in the photo given that the moth was stationary (on the door to my cabin).
