Beautiful find! This is the biggest moth in North America, I'm hoping to see one this summer. The caterpillars feed on maple trees, wild cherry trees, and birch. Yours looks to be a male, judging from the antennae. The males have much thicker antennae than the females, in order to pick up chemical pheromones of the female.
