Discodon sp.
The notched sides of the pronotum are characteristic for males of the genus Discodon (Cantharidae: Silinae) and no found in any species of "true" firefly (Lampyridae). Central American Silinae soldier beetles often mimic fireflies occurring in the same area (or maybe even vice versa?), so the colour patterns look very much the same. Usually, the head is covered by the pronotum in Lampyridae (when seen from above) and more easily visible in Cantharidae. But there are exceptions to this rule.
