Great-tailed Grackle

Quiscalus mexicanus

Description:

Medium sized bird around 5". This particular one is a female and a bit smaller than the males. They are avid hunters. They are also one of the most adaptable birds that I have seen in that they have learned to be great scavengers.

Habitat:

I have seen them in many micro habitats including the beach, mangroves, open grassland, and more.
