Thanks for the tip! I found a good website that allowed me to identify it as Promachus rufipes.
This looks like a species of Robber Fly. They are predatory of other flying insects. This may be a member of the Genus Promachus. Compare here: http://bugguide.net/node/view/3026/bgpag...
