Description:

A Dung Fly of the Family Scathophagidae. Only some species however, actually feed or develop on dung. This one was about 8 mm long with dark wings.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
