A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
This type of lizard is able to change its color, if they are on a tree they look green and if they are in the ground they look light brown.
In Afghanistan everywhere in the wild this type of lizard is living but mostly in the mountain area close to lakes or rivers.
This lizard is a fast hunter. They eat Mosquitoes and worms.
@ Dondoucette, I think it is a latin name but this name is not very common among the people of rural areas of Afghanistan, in some part of Afghanistan people call this lizard Karbash. in Jun I have a one week tour to the highlands of central Afghanistan and hope that I can take some close up pictures of this lizard.
Today I will upload some more pictures of wild plants of Afghanistan.
It's cool to see pics from Afghanistan. Aahangar, I was looking up the common name of this lizard and a lizard in the US has the same common name. Do you know it's latin name? Or do you have a close up photo to help with ID?
I want to see more pics from Afghanistan.
