"These flies look like butterflies but their wings are hairy and not with scales.
They are not active during the day, but they start to move at dusk; they are close to water as their larvae live there.
It is hard to identify the different species of fly but if you observe the "quiver" it is easier, since each type of fly puts it together in a different way. To put together the quiver, the larvae use twigs, forming structures, little pebbles, snail shell pieces, leaves and many other things."

Estas moscas son afines con las mariposas, pero sus alas son peludas y no con escamas.
Durante el día permanecen quietas y al atardecer comienzan su actividad. se mantienen cerca del agua pues sus larvas viven en ellas. es difícil identificar las diferentes especies de mosca, pero si se observa la carcaj es más fácil, ya que cada una monta el carcaj de forma distinta. Para montar el carcaj las larvas se valen de ramitas, formando diferentes estructuras, piedrecitas, una cáscara de caracolito, hojas y muchas cosas más.
