Orange-winged Amazon

Amazona amazonica

Habitat:

Native to forests and semi-open country of South America and Trinidad. A feral introduced species here in South Florida seen in suburbs where trees and palms are plentiful.

Notes:

There was a small but extremely loud group of these parrots making quite the ruckus this morning on a coconut palm at the palmetum section of this Botanical Garden. The palm was very tall and surrounded by other palms and trees making photo a bit of a challenge.
