Old World Swallowtail pupa (Χρυσαλίδα Μαχάωνα)

Papilio machaon gorganus pupa

Description:

A Papilio machaon pupa, spotted on our front tent, of our house. I saw the catterpillar climbing thew tent, 2 days ago, but I was unable to remove it, because it's grip on the fabric was tight, and I was afraid I was going to harm it + it took the deffensive posturem with its antennae portruding. So I left it alone, and few hours later it vanished, but it came back this morning, and within hours it turned in to a pupa! I do not intend to remove the pupa from it's place, but I'll keep a close eye to it, to see it pupate. Spotted in Nea Demetrias suburb, Volos city, Greece.
