Very active birds. Many were busy in nest building (as seen in the second pic). Some nests around were half complete which means that maybe the female had rejected them.

Congrats Satyen, this clever little bird has earned you Spotting of the Day! The Baya weaver is one of the finest architects of the animal kingdom, constructing amazing gourd shaped nests with a long entrance tube to prevent snakes from entering. This male weaver dons his bright yellow plumage for the breeding season - the rest of the year he is an inconspicuous brown color.
