Smoky bracket

Bjerkandera adusta

Description:

Stacks of brackets with a dark hairy upper surface and pale grey margins which were trimmed with white. The narrow band of white continued underneath where it was gradually replaced by a very grey pore surface. The pores were angular with tubes appearing like flat teeth. The brackets were of different sizes and they seemed to be fused with each other by narrow ledges.

Habitat:

Spotted on an old tree stump - probably eucalyptus. Occurrence record: http://bie.ala.org.au/species/BJERKANDER...
