European Goldfinch

Carduelis carduelis

Description:

Goldfinches were flying back and forth between balconys with nesting material in their beaks!

Habitat:

Urbanisation on the edge of town, where alot of birds nest in the surrounding trees. The 'tree' on our balcony is plastic, but seems to attract alot of birds! Yesterday morning there was a goldfinch inside, rustling around for ages :)

Notes:

It seems that the goldfinches are nesting in the same place the linnets were last year..
