Ruby-throated hummingbird

Archilochus colubris

Description:

I put out jelly near my bird feeders as the catbirds and crows enjoy it, but I had not seen a hummingbird go after it before this day. After I refreshed the nectar feeders, which may have been a bit diluted with rain, the hummer went back to the nectar.

Habitat:

My yard
