White-tailed Deer

Odocoileus virginianus

Description:

A common North American deer found mostly east of the Rocky Mountains. As their natural predator populations have dropped so much, they have had a large population explosion leading to areas of overgrazing in forests. Juveniles like the one shown have white spots on their backs.
