Eastern brown water snake

Nerodia taxispilota

Description:

I thought it was a rat snake, but I'm having a hard time ID'ing with the banding. It's not as blocky as an gray rat snake. Poor thing got into our office building and someone smashed it before I got to work :(

Habitat:

west central ga.

Notes:

Found in an office building. Probably got through the crack in the door and may have been after palmetto bugs/roaches or other small critter.
