Phasianus colchicus
The common pheasant is part of the pheasant family consisting of 35 species. It is also known as the 'ringneck pheasant'. Out of the bird species in the UK the male pheasants are probably the most ornamental. Sporting strong sexual dimorphism, the male common pheasant is easily recognisable by its dark head with two tufts, the characteristic bright red wattles on each side of the face and speckled feathers on the body, ranging from red-brown, black and grey to white. The male also has a white collar around its neck and is significantly larger than the females.
Fields, woody forests.
This guy was in a nature reserve, so probably more used to humans than many other pheasants.

Agree Ismael, and to add to the coolness - good at posing :)
Very cool bird
Sure, funny you should ask because I just copy-pasted the link and didn't really notice that there was a number there! The number is in the address page of your webbrowser. If you click on your photo/spotting you will see the digits there (in the link). Hope this helps! :)

Wow, Maybe it was because he had something to show off. Can you tell me how you know the number of your picture? No one has ever told me how to find that. Thanks Alice
