Agkistrodon piscovorus and Agkistrodon contortrix
Many people get the juveniles of these two species confused, but when put next to each other you can easily see the differences. The copperhead has a tan body with brown hershey kiss shaped markings on the sides. The The cottonmouth is brown with darker brown bands on the body with spots. They also have a dark eye band that is diagnostic for the species.
Found near a creek in a mostly oak forest. Not found together, but close to each other.
