Large shorebird. Long legs. Long, upturned bill. Black-and-white upperparts. Rusty or gray neck and head. Cornell Lab

Habitat:

These birds were found on Siesta Beach in Sarasota. They are often seen inland but this was only the second time I saw them on the beach.
