Malagasy snake

Madagascarophs sp.

Description:

almost 5' long

Habitat:

dry, spiny desert

Notes:

This snake was seeking shelter from the sun and heat in the small outhouse in the Tsimelahy parcel of Andohahela national park. My guide opened the door to show me the toilet and we were both surprised to see this large snake in there! Thankfully it was gone later when I needed the toilet.
