Rollrim Mushroom

Paxillus sp.

Description:

Light brown mushroom with a very short stipe. The gills were tan, forked, and had short gills present. Margin was inrolled. The gills bruised slightly when marked, but the bruise darkened over time.

Habitat:

Growing on the ground in a mixed forest.

Notes:

This genus of mushrooms is known to be mostly poisonous or inedible.
