European Bittersweet

Solanum dulcamara

Description:

Vine type growth which will produce red berries. A Eurasian species now invading North America. Brought here as a garden ornamental. It is considered poisonous to humans.

Habitat:

Growing in the Cheam Lake Wetlands park near the floating walkway. Area is typical lowland Pacific Northwest deciduous forest.

Yes, we have always called it Deadly Nightshade which I think sounds a lot more interesting.
