Thank you Philipp and Matt. I'm gonna go for "Ringed Plover (Charadrius hiaticula)". Looking at the photos on wiki for the specie I would guess that's what I saw and photographed. Many thanks for your help. Looking forward to see your spottings. Will be there right away...
Philipp, I would say hiaticula, as the leg colour (yellow/orange forgive my colourblindness) is wrong for alexandrius which is much darker. Also the dark breast side patches are too dark and broad for alexandrius. (source: Collins Bird Guide, 2nd edition)
yeah i also would say its a juvenile one. the orange legs speak for a ch. hiaticula, but i am not an expert as well.
Possibly a juvenile or winter plumage bird, not an expert so don't know. Could be other Charadrius species though......
wow. not easy its a plover for sure (charadrius), but wich one? once i thought hiaticula then alexandrius. not easy...
