Round-leaved Saxifrage

Saxifraga rotundifolia

Description:

A striking mountain rosette-forming plant with delicate white petals, dotted with red and yellow.

Habitat:

Montane humid woodland and shady streams. Native to central and south Europe and south west Asia. Spotted here 1200 m above sea level.

Notes:

Leaves are round-shaped and dented. The flower is very small (6-11 mm).
