I think you're right, alice and nath! People here say they were introduced to us from somewhere. I saw it on a gumamela plant growing inside SEAFDEC compound, where people pass by throughout the day.

Maybe this is a Achatina fulica? This snail is one of the most invasive species in the world. Where did you see it? In the forest or in disturbed land?
