Smyrna blomfildia datis
Butterfly measuring about 5cm from head to the wingtips. Pale colouration with brown markings, most prominent being the pattern of lines extending outward from the wing base; the eye spots consist of four small ones and two bigger ones, the most prominent of which features concentric circles of yellow, orange, and blue divided by dark lines, and a white spot at the centre.
Found on a fence post hiding from rain on the way to the "Rostro Maya" in San Juan La Laguna, Lake Atitlán.
