I found this on my leg last night freaked me out does anyone know what kind of tick it is and can you get lime disease from it?

1 species ID suggestions

Deer Tick
Ixodes scapularis Ixodes scapularis

Wow that creepy

Ps: not all ticks do infect u with some kind of illness - so just stay calm an d observe the spot, where it bit you

it is an Ixodes (most likely I. ricinus), I´d go to the doctor to take it out - and Lime disease is caused by the bacteria (B. burgdorferii) u can be treated with antibiotics, if a rash appears( in 2-3 weeks) and you get symptoms and fever
U know - Erythema migrans - here a picture:

North Adams, Massachusetts, USA

Lat: 42.70, Long: -73.11
