Shortsoine Thornyhead

Description:

This is a close-up of the spines of the Shortspine Thornyhead. The spines are poisenous and very painful. This fish is found in very deep water (2500 feet). It's an important commercial fishery with most of the harvest exported to Japan. Sorry I didn't have a photo of the entire fish

Habitat:

Deep Seas of the Pacific

Its hard not to love the your photos. They all tell stories. The same "object" trough your eyes becomes something else. Something special. Congrats and thanks for sharing.
