Hoffman's two-toed Sloth

Choloepus hoffmanni

Description:

Long-haired, two-toed sloth. Coloration is brownish and brown eyes. Movements were not as slow as expected; three-toed sloth are apparently slower than two-toed sloths.

Habitat:

Trees in the lowland tropical region

Notes:

This guy was spotted casually munching leaves in a tree in the front yard of our hostel. Completely unfazed by all the flash photography. At one point the sloth hung down by it's hind legs too grab leaves further below him. Just hangin' out, eatin' some leaves!
