Cormorant

Description:

Large, dark seabird with long, hooked-tipped bill. Display a white patch on face during the summer. Length 80 - 100cm

Habitat:

Breed in cliffs and islands on sheltered coasts. Durind the winter will be seen on estuaries, reservoirs and river.

Notes:

At low-tide on the shoreline near the spot where the grey seals and common terns were feeding. Sunny afternoon, light breeze.
