Jagged Ambush Bug

6mm long insect that blends in well with the Buckwheat flowers. It is yellow, pink and black with yellow eyes.

Unfortunately I won't be much help with this genus. Mine was fairly simple since there has been only two species of Jagged Ambush Bugs in California which look quite different. It looks like you have yours at the genus level which is enough for PN. Have a great day!

Since you can ID the sp. of your JAB, maybe you can help me. I can't ID the species of the ones I've spotted. I believe them to be the same species. I think they are either erosa or pennsylvanica. The two look too similar to me to ID. Any thoughts or suggestions? I will provide links to them if you think you can help. Thanks for your time.
