Australian Leafroller Tachinid fly

Trigonospila brevifacies

Description:

Like all Trigonospila species, T. brevifacies can be recognised by its distinctive markings. They are primarily black with pearly whitish to golden transverse bars on the thorax and abdomen. Around 5 or 6 mm in length (0.19 to 0.23 inches)

Habitat:

This is my first ever sighting of this particular fly. It was flittering around from leaf to leaf of the plant in the photos
