Ten-lined June Beetle

Polyphylla decemlineata

Description:

A large June Beetle found in our back yard in the lawn. Bright stripes run down its back. It was large, grooved antennae. It has two large dominant eyes, and what appear to be two more smaller (shadow detecting?) eyes on the back of its head. Hisses when disturbed.
