Brown Prionid Beetle

Orthosoma brunneum

Description:

This guy is by far the largest insect in my neighborhood. My dad grabbed him for me one night so I could photograph him and when I let him go he was way to fast for my camera!

That's where I got my info... I chose it because it was an exact match... I don't know if they are correct, but it seems so to me.

I think long horn beetles in small size may match your beetle, but most of them in black and green colour. Red beetles are mostly related to shrubs.

Also check which are similar but who are matching your organism is important.
Soft-winged Flower Beetle also looks similar

Thanks for your suggestion Ashish, but I think most of the soldier beetles I searched were too small compared to this guy I took me a few hours, but I finally discovered he is a prionid, which is a type of longhorn beetle!
Thank you though!!
